Foliage in the North Georgia Mountains
Fall is a season of change in many ways. The
North Georgia weather gets cooler, the air gets crisp, and the leaves start to paint beautiful colors throughout the trees. Fall is the perfect time to take a vacation away from the stress of everyday life and the best place to visit is the North Georgia Mountains.
Enjoy the most beautiful colors of fall foliage anywhere around!
In the North Georgia Mountains you can enjoy the gorgeous fall foliage from a car ride through the mountains, a
North Georgia cabin, or by hiking through the colorful forest for an up close and personal view of the beauty and bright colors that surround you. The beautiful colors of fall in the North Georgia mountains start earlier than anywhere else and moving southward across the state. Typically the vibrant fall colors reach their peak between the second and fourth week of October, when more people are coming to the area to some of the many festivals that the North Georgia mountains host every year. It is usually predicted that the leaves will peak around that time, but it is never promised that the leaves will change colors around that time.
The weather will have an impact on when
the leaves will start changing.
No matter when the leaves changes it is always promised that with the vast majority of trees in Georgia there will be a wide range of fall colors from the top of the mountains to the valley.
