Blue Ridge Attractions

Blue Ridge Scenic Railway - All aboard & take a train ride through the beautiful Chattahoochee National Forest. This relaxing 4 hour and 26 minute train ride will take you through the mountains, along side the Toccoa River inside comfortable train cars.

Adventure Trail Rides - If horseback riding is what you enjoy doing then Adventure Trail Rides is just where you need to go while in Blue Ridge. There are 3 different trails to choose from each ranging in variety from length, price and experience.

Raft One - Raft One runs whitewater rafting trips on the Ocoee River, starting in Copperville, Tennessee and takes you down the river in a raft with people who share the passion for rafting. You can either make it a half of a day trip, or raft all day long.

Mercier Orchards - This family owned and operated business is celebrating 66 years of delicious harvests. Loads of apples, fresh cider, jams, and jellies are produced from the apple orchards. While you are there stop by the bakery and grab a delicious baked pie to take home with you.

Swan Drive-In - The Swan Drive-In is one of five drive-ins in the state of Georgia that is still in operation. This historic drive-in runs year round and shows new movies.

Ellijay Attractions

Amicalola Falls - This state park is one of Georgia’s most popular state parks. The falls stand at 729-feet, which make them the tallest falls east of the Mississippi River.

Fort Mountain State Park - Fort Mountain gets its name from a historic 855-foot rock wall, standing at the highest point of the mountain. This park is close to the Cohutta Wilderness with a wide range of outdoor activities to enjoy.

Pearson Pond Ranch & Llama Co. - This ranch is secluded, beautiful and located in Pleasant Valley on 98 acres. Established in 1981 this ranch has a large herd of llama from some of the best bloodlines.

Wildlife Rehab Sanctuaries - This 50-acre facility medically cares for all species of injured wildlife here in the Southeast. Open every weekday you can tour the facility but be sure to make an appointment.

The Heritage Museum - Located in the Gilmer Arts and Heritage Association the museum displays prehistoric relics from the Trail of Tears, early pioneer days, gold rush, and the war between the states. If you are a history buff this is a great place for you!

Unicoi State Park - Unicoi is one of North Georgia mountains most popular state parks. Enjoy hiking, biking, crafts, pottery and pure natural cultural beauty.

Anna Ruby Falls - Anna Ruby Falls is located in the heart of the Chattahoochee National Forest. Anna Ruby Falls is a creation of Curtis and York Creeks. Walk the paved 4/10 of a mile pathway that leads to the base of the falls.

Alpine Amusement Park - The entire family can have some fun together at this great amusement park with go-carts, bumper boat pool, tilt-a-whirl, ferris wheel, batting cages, an arcade and a putt-putt golf course.

Charlemagne’s Kingdom - Visit the largest Alpine Model Railroad museum in the area. See 400 feet of railroad track with computerized trains. Great place for kids to be kids … and adults to be kids.
